1. Our Commitment

Daili Technologies Limited is committed to protecting the personal data of everyone we work with — our users, our regulators, our partners, and our own team. We aim to comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 and the standards set by the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC), and to hold ourselves to that standard across every product we build.

2. Data We Collect

Depending on which Daili product you use, we may collect:

  • Identity data: name, phone number, email address, date of birth;
  • Verification data: National Identification Number (NIN) and Bank Verification Number (BVN), collected solely to meet KYC requirements for identity-verified financial features, and passed securely to our licensed partners for that purpose;
  • Financial and transaction data: savings balances, transaction history, sales and expense records you enter into Daili Regista, and airtime/data purchase records;
  • Business data: stock records, customer credit records, and other business information you choose to record;
  • Device and usage data: device type, app usage patterns, and log data that helps us maintain and improve our products;
  • Learner data: for Dailibly School of Digital Engineering, enrollment details, attendance, and progress records.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use collected data to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve Daili's products and features;
  • Verify your identity where required for regulatory compliance;
  • Process transactions through our licensed partners;
  • Communicate with you about your account, transactions, or support requests;
  • Send newsletters or product updates, where you've opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time;
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud or misuse of our platform;
  • Meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Our Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal data on one or more of the following bases: your consent (for example, when you subscribe to our newsletter), the necessity of processing to perform our contract with you (for example, operating your Daili account), compliance with a legal obligation (for example, KYC checks required by the Central Bank of Nigeria), and our legitimate interests in operating and securing our platform.

5. Who We Share Data With

As set out in our Terms & Conditions and Product Policy, Daili operates a non-custodial model. This means identity and transaction data necessary to process payments is shared with our licensed infrastructure partners, currently Monnify and Moniepoint, and in the future may include Providus Bank, Wema Bank, and Paystack. We share only the data necessary for these partners to perform their regulated functions, and we require our partners to handle your data securely and in line with applicable law.

We may also share data with regulators or law enforcement where legally required, and with service providers who support our operations (such as hosting providers) under appropriate confidentiality obligations.

6. How We Protect Your Data

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration, including access controls, encrypted connections, and limiting internal data access to team members who need it to do their jobs. No system is perfectly secure, and we continue to strengthen our practices as we grow.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, regulatory, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations. When data is no longer needed for these purposes, we take steps to securely delete or anonymize it.

8. Your Rights

Under applicable Nigerian data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Request deletion of your data, subject to our legal and regulatory retention obligations;
  • Withdraw consent for processing based on consent (such as newsletter emails), at any time;
  • Object to certain types of processing;
  • Lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) if you believe your data has been mishandled.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 13.

9. Children & Minors

Daili's products are intended for users who are at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction, in line with our Terms & Conditions. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, we will take steps to delete it.

10. Statement to Regulators & Partners

Daili Technologies Limited recognizes that trust from regulators and partners is earned through consistent, verifiable practice, not just written policy. We commit to cooperating fully with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission and other applicable regulators, to supporting our licensed infrastructure partners' own compliance and audit requirements, and to updating our practices as Nigerian data protection law and guidance continue to develop.

11. Internal Access & Team Responsibility

Within Daili Technologies Limited, access to personal data is limited to team members whose roles require it, and every team member is expected to handle user, partner, and colleague data responsibly and confidentially, whether that data belongs to a customer, a Dailibly School learner, a partner organization, or a fellow staff member.

12. Changes to This Document

We may update this document as our products, partners, or the regulatory environment evolve. We will post any updates here with a revised "Last updated" date.

13. Contact & Complaints

Questions, requests, or complaints about how we handle your data can be sent to support@dailiteam.com or 08130921685. We aim to respond to all data-related requests promptly.
